Making money on the internet can be fun. But here is what they don't tell you, it can be hard. This should come obvious though because with every business comes a challenge. I don't care what business it is, if you want to make money in it will take some time and effort. Here are some mistakes people make when trying to make income from the internet.

Some people view it as a hobby. If you view this as a hobby, you will make hobby money. Only serious internet marketers are the ones who make the serious cash. Why? Because they treat it as a serious venture and not some game.

Fail to get the proper knowledge. If you think you will learn it all on your own, making an income from the internet is most likely not the place to be for you. It is all about learning new skills and techniques. I have been on the internet for almost 4 years now and I honestly learn new things almost daily. Plain and simple, if you don't want to learn, you don't want to earn.

They also fail to build relationships with people. Instead of trying to sell, sell and sell more, instead build an honest relationship with people. When someone looks at you as a friend instead of a merchant, you have a higher chance of selling to them and keeping them as a long time customer.

Last but not least is to build your list. There are many ways to do it, but if you want to build an income on the internet, it has to be done. This is a mistake I made early on and I advise you don't make the same mistake I did. You need a constant contact list that you can form relationships with daily.

The worst thing you can do is come into the internet thinking making money is a breeze. Yes, it can be automated and that is the point. But in order for it to get to that point there are fundamental steps that you must follow.
